Creating a vacancy
Follow these steps to create a new job opening.
Before you start
Have the basics ready: job title, a description, location, employment type, and the key skills or requirements. If your organisation uses departments, clients, or custom fields, know which apply to this role.
Steps
- In the sidebar, open Vacancies → Add Vacancy.
- Enter the core details:
- Job title
- Job description (responsibilities and requirements)
- Location and work type (on-site / remote / hybrid)
- Employment type (full-time, contract, etc.)
- Number of openings
- Set classification fields as required by your organisation — department, discipline, business sector, client/company, and any custom fields.
- Add the hiring team — the recruiters and hiring managers who will work this role.
- Choose the pipeline stages for this vacancy (or accept your organisation's default workflow). See Understanding the hiring workflow.
- Review and Save.

After creating a vacancy
Once saved, you'll land on the vacancy detail page. From here you should:
- Configure settings — turn on AI scoring, add prescreening questions, and adjust the workflow. See Vacancy settings.
- Add candidates — upload resumes, add from the Talent Pool, or publish to a career page. See Adding candidates.
- Share the vacancy with colleagues if needed. See Sharing & collaboration.
Editing a vacancy
Open the vacancy and select Edit to change any details. Changes apply immediately; existing applicants are not affected by edits to the description.
