AI matching & recommendations

AI matching is at the heart of X0PA AI. Instead of reading every resume in application order, you let the platform score and rank candidates against each vacancy so the best-fit people rise to the top.

Match scores

When AI matching is enabled for a vacancy, each candidate is given a match score that reflects how well they fit the role. Scores draw on signals such as:

  • Skills matched against the job requirements
  • Experience — relevance and years
  • Education and qualifications
  • Other role-relevant signals your configuration includes

Sort or filter the applicant list by score to focus on the strongest matches first.

Match breakdown

Open a candidate to see why they scored as they did — a breakdown of matched skills, experience relevance, and any gaps. Use this to make faster, more objective decisions and to explain shortlisting rationale to hiring managers.

Recommendations

Beyond scoring applicants, X0PA AI can recommend candidates from your Talent Pool for a vacancy — useful for filling roles from talent you already have. See Find candidates.

Enabling and tuning AI for a vacancy

AI matching is configured per vacancy under its settings. You can enable it and, where allowed, adjust the emphasis on different criteria. See Vacancy settings.

:::note Fairness & objectivity X0PA AI is designed to support objective, skills-based screening. AI scores are decision support — recruiters remain responsible for hiring decisions. Combine scores with your own review and structured interview feedback. :::
