Teams & departments

Teams and departments let you organise users to match how your business is structured. They influence access, assignment, and reporting. Manage them under Admin → Teams and Admin → Departments.

Departments

Departments typically represent functional areas of the organisation you hire for (for example Engineering, Sales, Operations). Vacancies and users can be associated with a department, which helps with filtering and reporting.

To manage departments:

  1. Open Admin → Departments.
  2. Add, rename, or deactivate departments.
  3. Save.

Teams

Teams group users who work together (for example a regional recruiting pod). Teams support oversight — a team leader can view their team's activity — and drive team-level goals and reports.

To manage teams:

  1. Open Admin → Teams.
  2. Create a team and add members.
  3. Optionally assign a team leader.
  4. Save.

Why structure matters

  • Reporting — filter reports by team or department to compare performance.
  • Goals — set team-level targets (see Goals).
  • Access & assignment — route and surface the right work to the right people.
