Custom fields

Custom fields let you capture information specific to your organisation that isn't in the standard forms — on vacancies (jobs), applications, and offers. Open Admin → Custom Fields.

Where custom fields apply

ObjectExample custom fields
Job / VacancyCost centre, hiring priority, budget code
ApplicationReferral source, right-to-work checked, portfolio link
OfferApproval reference, relocation package, sign-on bonus

Adding a custom field

  1. Open Admin → Custom Fields.
  2. Choose the object (job, application, or offer).
  3. Select Add Field and configure:
    • Label — what recruiters see.
    • Type — text, number, date, dropdown, checkbox, etc.
    • Options — for dropdowns.
    • Required? — whether it must be filled in.
  4. Save. The field now appears on that object's form.

:::tip Keep it lean Only add fields you'll actually use and report on. Too many required fields slow recruiters down and reduce data quality. :::

Using custom fields

Once created, custom fields appear on the relevant forms and can often be used in filters and reports, so you can segment and analyse by the data you capture.
